I bought Groundwork paintpot at a CCO. This is my first and so far only paint pot, and I love it! I am most often a neutral/brown eyeshadow person, this shade makes the perfect base for other eyeshadows I wear. On very hurried days I can just do a quick swipe of this paintpot and forego any eyeshadow and it gives a perfect natural pick up up to my eyes and lasts all day.I do want to try other shades of paintpots, but I already know that I will be buying more of this shade.

Pros: great neutral color, smooth application, lasts all day NO creasing
Cons: i wish it could be a flip-top somehow, but otherwise its perfect

Base paint is not something for super oily eyes. I have to use UD pp before I put on the paint or else it will crease within two hours.

Also it is not recommened for highly sensitive eyes. I tested this product on a friend and this was the only MAC product which bothered her eyes. It made her lids feel heavy.

So make sure you test it out before you purchase it.

I still use my paint. I love the color (bare canvas) but I HAVE to use UD pp before applying.

This product literally creases within 5 minutes of application.  Does NOT stay on my eyes at all, and the shades are so light you can barely see any color at all once applied.

Pros: none
Cons: won't stay on, colors in package don't go on how they appear

I bought this at big lots for .99cents. I also use it as an eyeshadow base because it has a long staying power. It is a soft shimmery peachy color and it complements my golden skin. very good for a subtle day look and for a sultry night look with lots of black eyeliner.

Pros: Long staying power, can be used as an eyeshadow base, considerable "large" tube
Cons: None!

I'm new to MUT and noticed a lot of the member tuts mentioned using Loreal De-Crease Eye Shadow Base. Used it for the first time today and love it. No creasing. Eye shadow color held nicely throughout the day. One shade for all skin tones and types takes out the guesswork. Easy application with Loreal. Previously used Paula Dorf Eye Primer and it was like spreading glue.

Pros: Don't have to guess at shade. Easy application. Product works as advertised.
Cons: None

I went to Nordstrom last week to check out the new anniversary sale collections...Everything is SO nice!!  One of the new items out are the highly anticipated Paint Pots.

As a faithful lover of the original Paints, I was really looking forward to this new style.  I have not been let down.  There are so many wonderful colors...I think there are probably about ten or more shades, and then there are tree or four exclusive colors made expressely for the Nordstrom sale.  They are all beautiful.

There are three different types of 'finishes'; Cream, Pearl, and the ubiquitous Frost.

While I loved all of them, I had already done quite a bit of makeup shopping, so I had to limit myself to one.  I chose Indianwood.  This is a gorgeous metallic bronze. I'm telling you, it could not be prettier!!!!  I am a fan of bronze, gold, brown and copper eyeshadows, so this was an easy choice for me.

I have worn this a few times since I bought it, and it doesn't dissapoint. I wore it as a base for a bronze color eyeshadow. There was a subtle change in the color of the eyeshadow, but I'm not complaining, because it was beautiful. Not only did it make the eyeshadow more vibrant, but it lasted ALL DAY....through sweat and even swimming!!!!!  Yesterday, I put this on intending to put another color over it. I decided it was SO nice, I simply wore it by itself with a little black liner. It brought out the blue in my eyes. SO PRETTY was this color, I couldn't stop looking at my eyes in the mirror!!!

Another benefit is the new packaging...The original paints were nice, but sometimes the Paint would "leak" out of the tube, leaving a lot of wasted product. It also had a tendency to dry out near the cap...And, speaking of which, the black cap was so small, I frequently found myself searching among my makeup for it when I was done with the Paint. Well, I can say MAC really took care of all these problems; none of them will happen with these new Paints. Just be sure to keep the cap screwed on tightly all the time.  Some people have been worried about these drying out quickly...I think as long as the cap is kept on tightly after each use, it won't be an issue. And if it is, MAC is very flexible with their return policy.

The consistancy is so creamy and blendable...I think I've found a new love!!!  I fully intend on getting a few more of these babies!!  They have a few neutral colors, and some more vibrant colors...I think I'll get a few of each!!!  Priced at $16.50,  one can afford to get a few of them.

This is seriously a makeup staple every woman should have; and certainly every MAC lover!!!!

Pros: Wonderful color, creamy consistancy, can be used alone or under other shadows
Cons: So far I can't see any!

I had never tried any of the NARS cream shadows before, but when I was looking at them in Sephora, I couldn't resist these!

I picked up Corfu...It's a gorgeous shimmering taupe.  I use this by itself, and as a base for other browns/taupes, bronze colors. Try it under the brown shadow in the NARS India Song duo (check out my review for that, too!).

This stuff is so creamy, but not heavy or sticky..it's got the perfect consistancy. It has perfect blendability, and other shadows blend very well over it (sometimes it's hard to blend other shadows over a cream shadow; but not with the NARS cream shadows).

I am looking forward to buying a few more of these (there's a black one that looks delectable).

They aren't exactly cheap; but for the amount of product you get, and the versatality, it's really not a big deal for me to shell out the money for these. The packaging is really cute, too...the standard NARS black compact...Except these are tiny, and they do have a mirror..so cute!

I love these..I would recommend them to anyone looking for a great cream shadow; or even as just a base. Either way, you cannot go wrong!

Pros: Color, Blendability, Texture, Packaging, Versatality
Cons: For some, the price may be off-putting

Really good as a base.  It's a light, neutral color with a hint of shimmer.  When you first buy it, unfold the top of the tube.  This really helps to keep the paint from oozing out.

The main thing I like about this cream eyeshadow is how sheer it is. You can use a tiny bit as a lovely hilighter on your brow or near your inner eye and it gives the prettiest shimmer. Or you can build on it and its a nice neutral color. And it doesn't dry too fast, so you have time to blend.

Pros: color, texture, price!
Cons: It doesn't stay as long as I'd like as a overall "eyeshadow" but it is a good shimmer

Wonderful stuff! The only eyelid primer I've found that truly keeps your shadow from creasing. I've had it on over 10 hours now and my MU looks as fresh and bright as when I first put it on! I'm in love :)

Pros: cute package, really keeps eyeshadow from creaing and makes it appear super vibrant and fresh all day long
Cons: it sort of stinks, but it only goes on your eyelids, so eh, whatever.
